Oak Cliff Cellars makes hand-crafted, artisan wines in Napa Valley and ships directly to consumers throughout the U.S.  Even though we are a California winery, our name is reminiscent of the Oak Cliff neighborhood where we have lived so long and enjoyed good food and wine with so many friends - old and new!  Our mission is to produce the highest quality artisan wines from Northern California to be enjoyed now, but which, like good friendships, will get better with time.  Our wines are seductive on the nose, layered/full-bodied on the palate & go well with a variety of foods.   So from our neighborhood to yours, enjoy!

 

 

 Oak Cliff Cellars wins Gold & Bronze at 2013 Dallas Tex-Som Wine Competition
 

For the third year n a row, Oak Cliff Cellars wines have been recognized as medal winners in the annual Dallas Morning News Tex-Som Wine Competition for 2013.  Awarded Gold was our 2011 Mourvedre, a wonderfully approachable variety of grape often used for blending into Rhone style wines, but is this case made without blending.  The nose is violets and lavender and the taste is like blackberries in the mouth.  Also medaling were our 2011 Rogues Blend, a sumptious blend of Grenache (65%), Syrah (18%) and Mourvedre (17%) and out 2011 Syrah, a beautiful and dark red Syrah with black cherry fruit, much like those from Northern Rhone, both of which were awarded a Bronze medal.  The grapes for these three wines all come from the "Wild Diamond" vineyard in Lake County -- north of Napa Valley and 2,200 feet in elevation with rich volcanic soil.  Our 2010 Firebrixo  Red Dessert Wine, made of 100% Zinfandel grapes from the Firebrick Hill Vineyard in Redwood Valley, Mendocino County, also won Bronze.  This is a new wine for us and the perfect finish to any meal.  These wines can be found in a number of Dallas restaurants (listed below), for sale retail at Bolsa Mercado on W.
